About CoolM.org and the software

      CoolM.org is my personal web site. I developed a Content Manage System for the web sites in a few years of my spare time. I graduated from UIUC with a PH.D degree in probability theory and have been a teaching assistant for 7 years, also have degree in Mathematics Education. I used this software in my teaching for at least 3 semesters and still working to improve it.

      I developed this software from scratch and integrated (with bug fixes and dramatic imporvments) of some open source softwares and thus has the full copyright to use and modify this software. For more details, you can contact me. The list of credits will be published as soon as possible.

      I am a permanent resident of Canada and live in NW Calgary, AB. Below is part of my CV.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
August 1999 - May 2001 and January 2002 - May 2004 and May 2005 - December 2007, Teaching Assistant, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Department of Mathematics.

MATHEMATICS CONFERENCES, PROGRAMS
* Attended the Summer School in Probability at The University of British Columbia (May 25 - June 25, 2004) where Professor. Gregory Lawler did one course on SLE (stochastic Loewner evolution).
* Midwest Probability Colloquium (October, 2007, 2006 and 2004)

* Convergence and locality of SLE in multiply connected domains, submitted.

COMPUTER SKILLS
* Proficient with PHP, working experiences with C++, Java, Mathematica, MatLab. Proven strong background in web site development and programming.
* Developed my own web site software used for two years to assist teaching at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
* Very good experiences with LATEX, a few linux operating systems and text editors.
* Experiences in setting up and maintain web servers in both windows and linux operating systems.

LANGUAGES
* Chinese: Native Language
* English: Fluent
* French: Basic knowledge (Passed mathematics department exam.)
* German: Can read with dictionary

RESEARCH INTERESTS
* Stochastic Loewner Evolution (SLE), probability theory and complex analysis, with interests in applied probability, statistics.
* I am also interested in physics, since to be an astronomer was my childhood dream. SLE do have many connections in physics, especially statistical physics as well as different areas of mathematics like complex analysis, differential geometry. I am very interested in exploring these related fields as well and also willing to do research in different areas.
